ABOUT US
Wild Forever was founded in 1996 and is located in the beautiful city of Colorado Springs, nestled below the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak.
Many wild animals face injury or death from situations such as run-ins with automobiles, dog or cat attacks, poisoning, cruelty, or the destruction of their homes by land development, etc. We believe that animal life has tremendous value and deserves protection and respect.
The ALL VOLUNTEER Wild Forever Foundation has been providing wildlife rescue and rehabilitation to the Pikes Peak Region since 1996. Rehabilitators are licensed by the Colorado Division of Wildlife, and those that work on birds are licensed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as well. We work closely with the Division and receive outstanding support from their volunteer Transport and Rescue Team.

Every year Wild Forever cares for hundreds of infant and juvenile animals. Many of these were orphaned, others were abandoned - and some were just separated from their parents.
Each of these babies requires a special diet - as close as we can come to the diet their parents would feed them. Fawns, for example, drink gallons of goat's milk a day. Baby owls eat 6 to 8 large mice per day, and other baby birds and mammals need specially designed formulas.
Humans are a poor substitute for these animals' parents, but we try our best. We are proud to report that the majority of the babies we care for are released into the wild. |
